Typo error by clerk at sub register office

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 02 April 2022 This query is : Resolved
Hi All,

I recently purchased property and documemtation and wordinb wise everything correct at our end. No GAPS and mistakes from my end.

But the clerk at sub register did a typo error while taking PHOTO and THUMB

 I. E.

He mentioned our Surname as ANUMALA instead of ANUMULA

Will that be any issue in future. .. Document has aadhar and PAN CARD number too.

Regards

Kumar

It is better to correct it.

Since this is not a mistake of the both the parties to the sale deed, the right way to rectify the error is to make a request to the District Registrar for issuing an order to carry out the error correction.

He can issue orders to the Sub Registrar under Section 68 of the Registration Act for proper rectification of error, and the Sub Registrar, in turn, can rectify the mistake occurred due to their lapse.

Yes. But you shall put an application along with the original document to the District Registrar concerned through the Sub Registrar concerned requesting him to issue orders to correct the mistakes wherever necessary. The system cannot open when the orders of the District Registrar are not mentioned for corrections. The Sub Registrar after thorough verification, he will submit his report.

Very well analysed, opined and advised by senior experts Mr. K Rajasekharan and Mr. Kavksatyanarayana, which I fully agree.
Same query has been repeated in other forum, wherein it has been replied accordingly.

Thanks soo much for your responseMr. K Rajasekharan and Mr. Kavksatyanarayana, sir.

I took a Bank loan and original document is with Bank. Do I need to approach bank for the same?

Worried here.. as it shouldn't trigger new push from Bank. As the haven't raised any concern regarding this till now.

It appears that mistake in the endorsement made by the SRO, not in the citations. If so, the mistake is of no consequence.
