Under Workmen compensation act

(Querist) 18 March 2009 This query is : Resolved 
A worker Age 20. Died with accident at wrk in the course of his employment in a steel and power manufacturing company.
For how much compensation his family is entitled to.

It has to be dicide by Court, if You filed a case otherwise that companay has to deciding.

Please specify what was the salary of him? Fact of accident.

It is also depend upon the circumstance of accident which is happed the negligence of decesed. It is not possible to get more compensation.

Mr. Chandan :
If the employee was drawing 4000/- p.m. or more and had completed 20 years on his last birthday his dependants shall be entitled to a compensation of
2000*224= 448000/- in all.

Compensation will be awarded according to section 4 with applying Schedule IV of WC Act i.e income of deceased * Factors apply on age of 20

Factor apply on the age of 20 years is 224.00

the compensation, as per the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act, the court will consider the salary / wages, how much the deceased person is recieving and status of the family, accordingly the court will decide.
