It is true the counsel enters in the case officially, by filing a vakalat. But, in practice many of the courts are allowing the counsel to take copies of documents, with an undertaking to file the vakalat.

this is a minor irregularity , the advocate has a basic right to appear.

No way.. Vakalath is the authorization given by the client to a lawyer. Therefore he is only authorised person to get the documents from the court
