If he is partner before the enrollment to the bar council then he can, but after enrollment he cannot. If he wants to join firm in a business then he has to surrender his sanad to the bar council.

Answer of three question is that "Lawyer can do".
Lawyer means who is not member of State Bar Council.
if you mean "Advocate" then answers are:-
Ans of 1st question:An advocate shall not personally engage in any business; but he may be a sleeping partner in a firm doing business provided that in the opinion of the appropriate State Bar Council, the nature of the business is not inconsistent with the dignity of the profession.
Ans of 2nd question: about Invest and get profit out of a project, there is no restrictions subject to advocate is not directly engage.
Ans of 3rd question: read 1st and 2nd.
