(Querist) 06 April 2023 This query is : Resolved
inherited properties from mother, grandmother, uncle, brother, or other family members don't qualify as ancestral properties. But same property if my uncle to transferred to my father then is it become ansisteral property? If my father transferred to me is it ansisteral property?
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 07 April 2023
No, it becomes your father's self acquired property, hence nobody can challenge it on the grounds that it is ancestral property
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 09 April 2023
The property transferred from your uncle to your father will be deemed self acquired property of your father and not ancestral.
