You don't need an employer's NOC to transfer a gun license to a son after the death of the father in India:
  • The legal heir of a gun license holder can apply to transfer the license to them after the death of the license holder.
  • The application can be made on plain paper and attached to Form A of the person to whom the license is being transferred.
  • If the original license has expired, a new application can be made in Form A.
  • The application requires two passport size photos and no objection from other legal heirs.
  • The scope of legal heirs usually includes the husband, wife, son, and daughter.

Sir

Delhi police licence authority is asking for noc from department where I am posted.

You can ask them about the particualr law that requires NOC from the employer.

After that you can approach court seeking direction to the concerned police officer to transfer the gun licence to your name

I concur with the opinion and advise of learned senior expert Mr. T Kalaiselvan, there is no legal requirement / such provision of law to submit departmental NOC to obtain an arm licence.
