498a and divorce settlement through lok adalath

Dear Experts,

My wife had filed several criminal cases against me and my family members.

Finally through Lok Adalath there was a settlement. Accordingly all criminal cases and other cases filed by her were withdrawn after I paid certain amount.

In th Lok Adalath she has agreed for mutual concent divorce, however now she is not coming forward for divorce.

In this scenarion can I go for contested divorce. How long will it take for the divorce. Can she prolong it by any means.

Please guide me.

Thank You

Vivek

File a contempt case with lok adalat order.

There is no embargo upon her to acknowledge her agreement, Divorce is an option that parties can back out of at any time, evenr after recording the first motion. However if you have withdrawn any cases based on her representation, the same can be restored by the court.
