Alteration of maintenance amount

Yes, maintenance allowance fixed in a compromise can be altered under s.127 of Cr.P.C.  One has to make out a case that the circumstances have changed and she is not having any source of income and is in need of urgent monetary relief.  The court will decide the genuine needs of the wife and sanction the necessary allowance.
