I am living in a 62 flats apartment in Bangalore in which builder had made a registered association. Since last five years their has been no elections, no formal meeting procedures,books of accounts etc.builder and his four confident people manages the entire apartment and charges hefty amount per square feet,If someone doesn't pay they disconnect the water facility.
Builder has not handed over the building documents till now.I believe manager and builder siphon off the funds because the maintenance cost is coming at 3.6 rupees a square feet.I would like to know how to get the things regularised ? Is their any government agency which does audit of registered society papers and its correct conduct of affairs?
When I took the flat I was not sure I need to pay such exhorbitant rates !! It was just two rupees a square feet in first year.Builder didn't gave any corpus fund and eaten away everything.
