Can a government employee practice as an advocate?

I want to become an IAS officer after completion of my LL.B. Can I do practice if I qualify for civils???

IAS officer gets more advantages than a lawyer.

As per the Advocates Code and Conduct ,Once enrolled you cannot hold any office of Profit,Hence once you become a lawyer you cannot hold another office of profit i.e. Under Civil Services.
