Caste of the child in intercaste marriages

I am a girl child born for Vysya father and OBC Mother. Can I get the caste of my mother? If so what is the procedure? can I have resent judgements.

No. You are now have name tiltle of your father and he is general in caste terms.

Father's caste will be applied to you in every situation.

Is there any Constitutional validity in support of this application OR it is only a practice? In my opinion, best of the benefits should be passed on to the child.
