Sir, We are senior citizens and were tenant of a Charitable Public Trust & protected under Rent Control Act residing in Maharashtra(Mumbai).
Trustees sold the fully tenanted building to AJ Construction, Mumbai in 2006. New land Lords undertook redevelopment after filing Consent Terms in Bombay High Court in 2013.
Since than there has been deliberate delays and threats to us to surrender our tenency flat measuring 330 sq feet.
Imagine the development work commenced in 2013 is yet not completed though 10 yrs are passed.
What's worst still instead of 330sqft flat as per Consent Terms the land lords have reduced it to 270sq ft. Which is not acceptable to us.
There for please help and clarify how we can take shelter under Chapter VIIIA of Rent Control Act which is challenged in SCI by the Association of property owners and hearing is due on 6/2/23. Thanks.
