Can father sell a property to his son

Dear Advisors,

Can a father sell his self-earned property to his son? Not as a settlement or gift deed but just like the property is sold to third person. Is it legal?

Dear Shiv Kumar

Before law, father/mother/brother/sister/son/daughter are are different legal identity though they have a social relation among themselves. So there is no bar for a father to sell a property to his son.
