If person Mr. A falsely inform person Mr. B that he is having affair with lady 'Mrs. C'.

Person ' Mr.B' inform the matter to the spouse of 'C' that Mr.A has informed him about the affair.

What action can be taken against Mr.A and/or Mr.B under IPC.

If you want mental peace, these are most common things, give a strong warning so that they can never dare to repeat such rumors.  Forget and ignore such persons if you want peace in your life.
