FALSE CASES AGAINST ACCUSED BY POLICE MERELY ON DOUBT.

FALSE CASES FILED BY POLICE MERELY BECAUSES ACCUSED WAS ARRESTED IN SIMILAR CASE EARLIER,AND TRANSFERING INNOCENT ACCUSED TO SEVERAL POLICE STATIONS AND GETING POLICE CUSTODY AGAIN AND AGAIN.

1.IT IS A FACT THAT POLICE ARREST INNOCENT PERSONS MERELY ON THE BASIS OF DOUBT JUST BECAUSE HE WAS ACCUSED IN SIMILAR CASE EARLIER.

2.POLICE ASK FOR TRANSFER OF ACCUSED TO SEVERAL POLICE STATIONS ONE AFTER ANOTHER AND MISUSE THE LAW PROVISIONS.

3.I HAVE APPEARED IN CASE OF ONE ACCUSED WHO WAS ARRESTED UNDER SEC.379 OF I.P.C. AND HE WAS TRANSFERED TO ALMOST SEVEN POLICE STATIONS AND POLICE CUSTODY WAS PRAYED.

4.THE SAID ACCUSED I GOT HIM ACQUITED ALMOST IN ALL FALSE CASES AS NO PROOF WAS THERE.IT WAS EVEN PROVED THAT WHEN HE WAS IN JAIL HE WAS TAKEN IN PC.MERELY ON THE BASIS OF DOUBT.

5.THIS SPOILS THE LIFE OF INNOCENT YOUTH WHO START HATING THE EXHISTING SYSTEM.

6 AN APPROPRIATE LAW AMMENDMENT IS ESSENTIAL TO PREVENT FILING SUCH FALSE CASES WHICH MAY RUIN THE LIFE OF INNOCENT PERSONS.

Corruption within the Indian police organization is not new phenomenon! Folklore has always associated Indian police with extortion and brutality & that the Indian police are infamous for corruption, ineptitude, use of torture, nepotism. In addition to this sycophancy is newly developing fashion within police agency. Citizens perceive the police as a dreadful agency that often fails to do its job within the legal framework and yet enjoys impunity.

The investigating officers are zealous to get success in their cases and so there are chances that they record a statement alleged to have been made by the accused though the accused did not make any statement. Chances are also there that the statement recorded by the police officers is different from what the accused actually said. The legislature itself is suspicious about police officers as it is clear from Indian evidence act section 24, 25, 26 for the end of justice.

In today's scenario, there is very little accountability of Police to the citizen with regard to satisfactory delivery of services e.g. if a Police officer refuses to register a complaint. Unlike in other services like electricity or telecom, where if a citizen is not satisfied with the complaint redressed by the department, it has the option of going to the independent regulator, there exists no such mechanism in case of Police.
