How to get registry status of a property.

Sirs,

I am planning to buy a property from a builder. Is there a procedure to get any information about registry status of a proerty in Delhi?

Usually builder make sale agreements of already registered property and the money get stuck in procedures.

Please let me know.

You may obtain an encumbrance certificate and get it verified through a lawyer for knowing the status of the property intended to be purchased.
