RTI  Act to provide for setting out the practical regime of right to information for citizens to
secure access to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote
transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority, the constitution
of a Central Information Commission and State Information Commissions and for matters
connected therewith or incidental thereto. Airport Authority of India also comes under this act.

[1] Yes, Airport authoty of India is covered under the RTI, but it can not be used to know details of a particular person, the authorities may not inform you considering it a demand for information about a third person which is prohibited under RTI.

[2] However you can always use RTI to know about the general details of all passengers having travelled by a particular flight on a particular day, you can always request a chart of passengers travelling to various destinations on that day by a particular flight, that way you can single out the travelling details of a particular person.

Good Luck,

While absolutely agreeing with Mr. Kishore's advice, I am not sure that AAI , which is amenable to RTI, is required to maintain the list of passengers thronged in its airport to travel by various flights of public and private companies.  So, if the details required to be get are from Air India/Indian Airlines, you can get it by asking in general the entire list of passengers on that particular date.  If your information pertains to private flight, like Indigo, you will not get it, as private organisations are out of purview of RTI.

Indeed, Airport authority of India will come under the RTI Act.
