Hi learned members,
Local news paper have printed story about on going complaint against accused. The matter is still in investigation stage and no case is registered against accused.
Can accused send legal notice to company for revealing name in paper without his/her knowledge? Do they have to get permission from accused to print the news or they are in liberty to publish any news whether it is right or wrong?

News papers publish news. But they should not defame a person.
More details are needed on party, matter, circumstances.

Accused is husband and parents whose names are published in new paper with story of dowry harrasment. Since accused are deemed innocent until proven guilty by court, how can the media run trial ?
No remedy for innocent people ?
