You mean the grounds for cancellation of  lisence of a doctor by medical board ???

However medical negligence if proved can make lisence suspended or cancelled by MCI

The doctor's licence may be revoked on the following grounds as per the provisions of Indian Medical Council Rules:

  1. Not maintaining medical records of indoor patients and refusal to provide it Conducting s*x determination test for the purpose of female foeticide
  2. Not displaying registration number on required places and documents refusal to treat a patient only on religious ground
  3. Using touts for procuring patients
  4. Conviction by court for offense related to moral turpitude or criminal acts
  5. Abuse of professional position
  6. Violation of rules and regulation
  7. Treatment without patient's consent.

Hope this helps!

Medical license can be cancelled if the doctor is charged and found guilty of professional misconduct.

A written complaint to such Indian medial association, with such reports and opinion of an expert confirming medical negligence may help the complainant.  IF THE complainant is himself a victim, he can approach to consumer forum and if complainant is a common man, he should prefer complaint before IMA and provide prima facie fo such criminal negligence.

my sister had a c section in a hospital but did some negligence for that she had critical condition and a major operation had . Than hospital discharge her. After 4 to 5 days we again sifted to her another hospital where she treated for 3 week . When we ask the 1st hospital to provide all reports they refused to provide any . We send a legal notice but they replied it is not mandatory to provide any report relating to operation. Is it not mandatory? She was also healthy for normal delivery but they did c section .
