minority

hiii ,

i just want information that whether jain are considered under minority or not?

Actually i am looking to persue mba in mumbai for which i have herd that the government will provide financial assistance to minority group.

Hello, thank you for your query. 

Jainism is considered to be a legally distinct religion in India. On 30th January 2014, the Government of India explicitly awarded the status of a minority religion to the community in India.

However, to check if you will be liable to get assistance or not, a scholarship will also be needed.
