Notice from the Court under MV act

My wife had given her old car Esteem number DL3CN 9446 to a scrap dealer on 02 April 2017 against a receipt.
Today my wife, a senior citizen aged 72, received a notice from the Rohini Courts, to appear before Judge evening Courts on 03rd October in Rohini Courts under offence 122/177/179(1)MV Act Rs600/-,187MV Act-Rs500/-
Does she has to go to the Court and can Court hold her responsible even when she does not own the car as of today.
Please advise what is the best course of action by her.
Regards

Dear querist,

She can send her advocate to court.

After the date of receipt from scrap dealer she has no liability.
