Legal practitioner as the name suggests is meant for practicing law in court, hence he can very well appear on behalf of his family members in the court in the civil case.
Any person who is an advocate duly and properly enrolled in the Bar Council can appear before the court and conduct the case on behalf of his/ her client.
An advocate is entitled to represent any of his relatives in the court as his/her lawyer.
The law provides for party to present his case which is called as “Party in Person”. On that principle the lawyer can conduct his own case.
