Pay fixation

I was working in the Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-. My pay in the pay band is Rs. 19060/-. My Pay is Rs. (19060+4600). I was selected by UPSC for a post on the GP of 6600/- in the same organisation. After technical resignation I joined the new post. My salary is fixed at the Rs.18750/-+6600/-=Rs. 25350/- (minimum of GP 6600). My claim is that the pay should have been fixed at Rs.19060+6600=25660/-. There should protection of pay as my pay in the pay band is Rs.19060 which is more than the minimum in the GP 6600/-.

Kindly help me and please provide the referred rule also. Regards.

As you have rejoined in the post as selected through UPSC you cannot claim pay protection. Both the employements are different and you have applied to the post after being known to the fact of your pay package. If you have been promoted to the above GP then your basic cannot be reduced.
