Salt of property through poa

Sir, Your advise is sought on the below query: My daughter and son-in-law who are living abroad want to sell a vacant plot in Bangalore jointly owned by them . They want to sell it through me by a power of attorney . They cannot come to Bangalore personally. Correct mode of transaction may kindly be explained.Thanks.

Dear querist,

You can sell the vacant plot of you daughter and son in law on the basis of power of attorney. You have to pay stamp duty and registration charges for registering the document.

Suggestion:

Please Note that there are two types of Power of Attorney, General and Specific. For the purpose of Sale of Property, a Specific Power of Attorney would be required.
