Hello Everyone,
Can anybody clarify within how many days from incorporation of a new private limited company should the service tax registration to be made? Is there any stipulated time period for registration or should we go for registration only after starting the business operations.?

Dear Janani,
The criteria to Service tax registeration is very different from the one mentioned by you. Its turnover based , voluntary or due to entering of certain transaction.
A detailed facts will be required to comment whether your company is liable to service tax or not
