I planned to buy a resale flat for which I decided to pay 10% of total property value as advance to the party during signing up the agreement. Balance amount will be paid at the time of registration. I would like to know, to be safe from my side whether should I register the agreement since I am going to pay him 10% of total amount.
Please advise me.

It will be safe to register the agreement.

I think sec.17 of the reg.act as been amended and registration of sale agreement has been made compulsory,however,the state has also made amendments.However,without going into that I agree with Adv. Archanaji to get the same registered.
