Tax evasion petition against 498

Sir,

I filed divorce on my wife basing on mental and physical cruelty ...because for any minor dispute she becomes like a psych and doesn't know what she does at time she hit me. Threatened me with knife and even tried pulling out the gasket. So I could not bear anymore and filed for divorce. Later they filed 498a and dvc and in their petitions they have claimed to have given me 30 lakhs, where I have not taken a penny. I have requested them to settle for money but only to harass me they are continuing the case. My Father in. Law is a government employee in railways station master and don't have any properties from ancestors, can I approach income tax dept and ask to  file a complaint of tax evasion ?

Hi, You can ask the other side to show source of income and proof of giving you 30 lakhs. Mere statement not enough.there should be proof. Normally if a divorce case is filed first and thereafter the wife side files DVC and 498A, wife side need to provide strictest proof.
