Accept such as gift and get such document from her so that her children may not raise the plea that it is a loan in future.   Let them file a case and then defend your stand through a competent advocate.  It is not easy to file and follow up such cases in a court of law.

When certain things are anticipated, one should insulate himself against all probable risks.  A mere written statement or through a letter stating to the donee from donor that out of love and affection, the donor has sent Rs.2 lakhs or gifted that amount for the welfare of donee and his family is sufficient.
