Transfer of Joint Property

I have purchae an apartment with joint name of my elder brother.Said property is jointly owned by me and my brother in all records of co-operative society like SHARE CERTIFICATE and ON SOCIETY'S RECORD. Now after our mutually (orally) sattlement my brother wants to give up his portion to me and i wants to remove his name from the title and want to be a sole owner of the property. What to do? (Which is the cheapest and easy way to remove his name from the property?)

Cheapest way is that: your brother should execute the rights relinquish deed in your favour.

After Registration of the Release /Relinquishment Deed , submit letter to Society  with the copy of the Said  Deed  and ask the Co- Op Society to correct the Records - i.e;- you as single owner by removing your brother's name from the Society Records
