I filed a Consumer complaint against Jet Airways at District Forum Chandigarh by post. My hearing was on 30 January 2015. As I was out of station my wife went to represent me. She was told in court that the next date of hearing has been fixed on 12 March. But on 12 Feb 2015 I get a letter from court saying that since I did not attend the court my case has been dismissed. What are the options before me now?

I appealed to the state commission and they just called me that the case has been sent back to district court with remand of Rs 500. What does that mean?
