Vodafone representative fakes as a lawyer ...

My friend had a recent experience. He stopped using Vodafone SIM two days after getting it  because of no use. The accumulated pending of 200 Rs. rent was paid off at the nearest Vodafone outlet (Hutch then) in 2005. Despite this two months back Vodafone representative is calling his house number and telling that she is a lawyer calling form Chennai High Court and intending to file some case against him for non-payment?

Any ways to tackle this white blatant lie?

If once again she called take her addresses and you say your call is recorded and you would initiate criminal proceedings against you.

And also issue notice to the company giving the details of fone number and detials of making payment etc., and inform the company if the same thng is happened in future criminal casue would be initiated.

Beware of Corporate Extortionist!!! They are tyring to outwit all roagues. A friend of mine received call from a Vodafone Rep. saying that she is from CIBIL and Vodafone has complained about the default in payment to CIBIL and if she does not pay, CIBIL will block her credits. Unfortunately, the fake "CIBIL" person could not even say the full form of CIBIL and failed in the extortion. This morning I called her to check and she says that Vodafone has got its own CIBIL Department!!!
