What will be next step for a person if absent in arbitration

It depends upon the proceeding undertaken. If final order has been passed in absentia then there is no option but to challenge the order Under Section 34. If the proceedings are still underway it would be best that you join them either through the counsel or in person.

If the proceedings are going on and you absented yourself for whatever the reasons ,the arbitrator will proceed in ex parte , all the proceedings before the arbitrator as per CPC ;you should join the proceedings , .If the award is already passed you can only challenge that under Sec-34 Arb. Con. Act 1996
