Dear Varinder
you should file a RTI application before police authority and ask them why they registered FIR after that period and what are the reasons?
They are bound to give you the information within 30 days if they are not ready to give explanation to you you have right to file a appeal before appellate authority and there is a provision of fine against them.
You can send an application to withdraw your complaint due to this reason.

If you are complainant then you should feel happy as the police has after all done which you had expected 1.5 year ago.
varinder (Querist) 06 March 2013
the police authority himself registered the first information report and have cancelled stated that the complainant had filed a false complaint and tiring to file a complaint against complainant under section 182 ipc kindly give me guide that without consent of the complainant can the police have right to reopen the said complaint and registered first information report this is my question in the eye of law.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 07 March 2013
You had not provided the fact of cancellation of the FIR and subsequent action of initiating 182 so how can an expert anticipate the hidden facts and reply of those facts.

Anyway, you may represent to the police in the light of the facts of your case and pray that neither you insisted to lodge nor requested to cancel. it is all the game of the police only.
