Hi,
I am working with one organisation MNC in Powai Mumbai for past 3 years now but I want one suggestion from you
I would be grateful if any one on the platform help me.
1. We are offered morning and evening snacks every day and for that daily 20 Rs are deducted from our salary on an average around 400 Rs are deducted every month even if we have it or not.
2. Initially we used paper cups for tea/coffee, but later on stopped and reason given for same was cost cutting and were asked to bring our own cups, and now new rule that we have to only drink tea coffee in cups provided by company.
There are many other illegal things happening in this organization like terminating people for silly reason, even they have terminated a lady in her maternity leave.
Can any pvt ltd company do anything they feel, is there no law for innocent employees where they can get justice.
I have a option of quitting this job and looking for a new one, but I am not doing it and writing here as I feel this should be taken up seriously.
if any one on the platform help me or guide me I would be very much thankful.

to me, it is better to report the matter to the General Manager/Managing Director of the company by Registered post under marking copy to "Helpdesk" under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

first of all i will suggest Don't panic......
ans 1)
it's company own matter no one can stop them, because during your joining letter it may be terms that snack deduction will be done on monthly basis by salary.Even if there was not mention in Offer letter they can include it later by Board/HR/Management .
ans2)
Yes they can used cost-cutting method, the can ask for own cup from home, which need to be store there in office its also not illegal any Management/Board/HR can issue that rule......BUT.......
No one can terminate during Maternity Leave/without any valid reason,it is illegal and can punished by law,for this please go to the local labour organization of your area and made complaint there ,if you need help you can take help by local lawyer too, then after that mail complaint to MCA GOV. with all previous reference of complaint to the labour organization, you need to complaint in local first then send that copy to MCA.

You have posted certain issues which form part of cost to the company (hidden expenses) that may not count towards package offered to employees as part of company's motivational policy. However, providing snacks or not is entirely strategy of the company which has no relevance/ dispute.
Terminating from service on account of maternity leave can be challenged through Union/Labour Commissioner/ other platform(s)..
It is advisable to consult a local prudent lawyer for better appreciation of facts, professional guidance and proceeding.

1. It is not the objectives /business of Co. to "FORCEFULLY" provide Tea /Coffee /Snacks to its employees, more so on receiving payment for the same.
2. You mentioned that "400/- is deducted, whether you take the facility or not". This is grossly illegal, false, intimidating & restraining the employees, into submission, to their non-business related policies.
3. Make an anonymous complaint to GST, FDA, FSSAI, BMC (Health), Fire Dept., regarding the Food preparation & selling using Fire /Gas without license /permit /permission and request for investigation & prosecution. IF followed up properly, the facility of Tea /Coffee /Snacks or whatever would stop.

The dictates of the company appears to be illegal and against the provisions of the labor law.
You can make a representation about all such irregularities in writing to the top management of the company and seek it's intervention to solve this issue or to provide an alternate remedy.
If you dont get any proper relief from the management side then you may plan to initiate legal action through the labour forum venting out your grievances with evidences wherever possible.
This, if brought to the notice of the labor commissioner may fetch you a greater relief.
