Correction of document in schedule of the property

A Document for sale of Land was executed in the Year 1988.In the schedule though all the Boundaries were noted correctly the Road was mentioned as North instead of South.In the neighboring Land Holder schedule was also made same mistake, where the Road was mentioned as South instead of North.The seller for both the land is same and his where abouts are not known. Kindly advise the manner in which the Corrected Document be executed by both the Purchasers in absence of seller.

Normally for a rectification deed, both the parties (Executant and Claimant) are needed.
However, in your case, you as present owner of the property you can execute a declaration deed and can register it in book IV of sub registrar office.

The declaration suggested by my learned friend by itself may not be adequate. In my view get the plot surveyed by a licensed surveyor or the Officials of the Town planing Department of your Municipality and get the plan prepared and authenticated by them.This can be used for establishing the correct boundaries of the property.
