While being cross examined, the Respondent admits to a fact. Before signing the recorded cross examination, he is advised by his Counsel that a particular answer would prove damning for him
CAN THE RESPONDENT RETRACT HIS RECORDED ADMISSION DURING THIS CROSS EXAMINATION?

No he cannot retract. Whatever he has admitted in the cross examination is binding on him. Even to correct it he cannot recall himself for the evidence again. It is final and admission given by the wittness will bind on him.
