In which forum I can takeup the matter related to credit cards.due to inflated bill of credit cards my friend did not pay the bill.the bank then put the name in defaulter list in credit bureau(cibil).What action can be taken so as to remove the name from cibil.

For removal of name from the CIBIL and to get the credit rating improved the only remedy is to settle the dues of credit card by payment or waiver of interest charges through negotiations with the credit card issuing bank.

Issue notice to the bank instructing to remove your name from defaulter list. If there is wrong act of the bank then you can file a consumer case.

if your friend originally not paid the bills and the same amount is pending than deposit the amount in the bank and if it is bogus the proceedings are started from bank side without any cause than send a legal notice and if does not pay any heed than file consumer complaint.

If the bank has erroneously put the name in CIBIL, then you need to issue a notice to the bank and then to file a complaint with RBI.
You can aproach the Consumer Forum too if the action of bank is proved as unfair practice.

If the bills were inflated, you should have taken the action immediately on getting information of the same. If no action was taken even after being aware of the inflated bill, that may be counted as acceptance of such inflated bills.

So take the action immediately.

I disagree, Settlement figures as negative in CIBIL report and the same remain there for upto 9 years.

Issue a letter to the concerned bank as to why it has referred the name to CIBIL when you have paid the complete dues.
