Attracting penalty by society for not attending agm

hi this is amolkishor s ram from thane.we have two flats in thane one is in my father's name who is not alive and we have not transfered property to our name and another one is on my mother's name.
the society has attracted a penalty of rs 250 on both flats for not attending the annual general meeting.
so please tell me whether it is legal to attract penalty by society for not attending the agm

If penalty is passed in AGM resolution, Society can impose penalty.

As u r interested in trf of Flat from ur deceased father on ur mon's name, Thois is not a right timer to raise this small issue of Rs. 500/- that amnt is going to your Society . Your Society can object having second flat on mom's name. U did not disclose it in ur earlier Query that she already have a flat in the Society and a member .
