My POA who was also possessor and sold the plot for which he had selling powers.There was ongoing suit on plot and there was an injunction especially issued to him and his brother who were in possession of plot . He sold the plot to.his brother and I received the proceeds.
I had no knowledge of injuction but I was named as defendant.
Now when suit came up on board now Plaintiff has named me as Contemptor along with Poa and his brother. How serious is charge against me.

Being principal, you can not escape the liability of the act of POA holder. Consult local lawyer and defend the charges against you.

Plaintiff is a firm with two partners filed suit in 2005. My lawyer became lawyer of one of the Plaintiff and did not inform of injuction granted in 2006 . Now he is indirectly telling me that consequences will be dire like imprisonment and property attachment. SUIT value is Zero. SUIT is regarding title.
Plaintiff has confirmed his possession and no payment yet made as no time limit was prescribed in registered sale agreement executed by my previous POA who is no more. Suit is regarding honouring sale agreement. My previous Poa who is named defendant refused to honour sale agreement and is no more. Actual possessor who was in know of disputed plot became my POA and got the plot transferred in his brother'sname and I accepted proceeds.
How serious is contempt issue for me.Contempt application filed by Plaintiff in 2015. PLOT sold in 2008
