Are you getting / entitled for any pension from navy. Please read your service conditions.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 16 October 2016
Apparently: 20 years service required to earn pension in Indian defense forces.

Probably : Short Service commissioned officers do not get pension since contractual period is less than 20 years

The issue could be resolved with reference to service rules at the time of your superannuation, since it will no way affect your present position. In normal course, military service also includes while calculating your terminal benefits unless any pension was sanctioned for the military service you rendered.

has the deptt given so in writing.

For the purpose, you may better go through the PENSION REGULATIONS FOR THE ARMY published by the Ministry of Defence.

Go through CCS (Pension) Rules.

As SSC officer you were working in a pensionable service. The only difference is that you were discharged before competing minimum pensionable service. Had you been given PRC then entire service would count towards pension.

You are entitled to surrender Pension (if any) and gratuity to govt and get the continuation.

Discuss in detail with the service law expert in your department.
