Dear All,
Can you pls. let me know, what is the minimum no. of women employment is necessary to provide creches in the factory.
Section 48 of the factory Act says - Maximum 30 no. of women employment is required.
however rule 119 of Maharashtra Factories rules states that returns needs to be filed in form 27 for creches in case of factories more than 50 women workers are ordinarily working.
So what is the maximum no. of women employment is required for facilitating creches in Maharashtra factories.

Central act shall prevail over State act in case of any such difference.

1. It is true that Creches are required when there are more than 30 womens working.
2. HOWEVER Form-27 returns should be filed ONLY if there are more than 50 womens working. This also means that form-27, need not be filed if there are less than 50 womens working, but creche facility must be provided.
