1. All types of Societies have to mandatorily registered and obtain their "Permanent Account Number (PAN)", all over India.

2. Society Registration Certificate and latest Audited Balance Sheet is part of the documents required alongwith the PAN registration form, which has to be submitted to the local Income Tax office and this can be done thru a Agent or your local CS or a local CA.
