A should file a case against B, frequency of hearings cannot be mentioned i this case, but with the help of proper evidences B shall be punished.. bu this case doesn't seem to be cognizable.. you need a good lawyer.

How are you concerned with the query?
Hemant Agarwal (Expert) 07 April 2016
1. The matter is NOT worth filing, for the following reasons:
a) Would aggregate cost approx. 50,000/- over the period of time.
b) Matter would run for 5-10 years, IF in Mumbai jurisdiction.
c) hardly any perfect evidence or witnesses.
d) Complainant would face harassment (social, economic and so on.... ) and wastage of Time, Energy and Money.

2. Take the insult & assault, as a learning experience and forget it.

Keep Smiling .... Hemant Agarwal
