Dear Sir
As per TN Govt Gazette I have changed my name.Now I'm doing a law degree with new name.but all my old certificates including SSLC mark statement are in old name .can i change my name in SSLC mark statement? if yes, please tell me the procedure. Thanks®ards, Rayar

There is no need to change sslc mark statement.
Whenever, you are required to submit old certificates then submit with gazette to solve issue.

You have changed the name.
You cannot and need not rectify your name in the previous certificates.
Your declaration along with the gazette publication, is enough to bridge the old and new name.

Since you have publilshed in gazette, that is enough to prove the change of name.
Generally, the name cannot be changed in the already issued academic certificates. You can attach a copy of the gazette along with the certificates wherever necessary.

yes! there is no problem as gazette is sufficient document to prove all dissimilarities.

If you want to get change your name in the documents, you will have to follow u/s 80 of CPC.

#Rajeev! Can you clarify how section 80 of CPC comes in picture in the present case?
Nothing is required to be done on the part of querist except to produce the co[y of notification as and when required.

names in the old academic certificates will not be changed at any case.
as suggested by experts,you can claim the new name status by keeping a copy of the notification.
