False ipc 494 and threats by relatives to depose

Respected Experts,

My wife has filed private complaint in her home town against me under IPC 494 wihtout any basis last year. Process is not issued yet. I am having dspute with my uncles with respect to land at our village. They are threatening me that they will give false statement against me in IPC 494 complaint. Kindly suggest what remedies do I have at this stage. What should I do?

If you have not performed second marriage during the subsistence of your first marriage, you need not to worry even if your uncles make false statement in favour of your wife as 494 IPC requires direct evidence which if matter is false is not possible to obtain.

fight case on merits . your wife has to prove the allegations made . go through the allegations amde in complaint prepare para wise comments on complaint . contact a local lawyer

Do not succumb to their pressure. Making false statement in court is not so easy.
