Hi Jatin
You can do a 3 year law course provided you have time as attendance is now very strictly implemented by BCI recognised colleges. Moreover there are internals(2 per semester), project work etc for each semester in addition to Semester exams. BCI and universities have become very strict in this regard. There are many universities offering Law courses through DISTANCE EDUCATION mode (http://www.indiaeduinfo.com/distance%20education/law.htm.) they are informative but not recognised by BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA (BCI) .

1. Due written permission needs to be taken from the local Medical Council & other bodies, where you are registered, for conducting any type of further education, which includes Law.
2. IF a college degree /certificate is not required, THEN, you may purchase the relevant Acts (or browse the internet) and study them to update your legal knowledge.

Read the books related to the subject you desire to know. There is no single book to know about Indian law. Read case laws. read the old posts in this forum.. it might help you.
