Cheque bounce case

I gave 2 blank cheques to my friend who gave me Rs.72,000/- he now bounced cheque by Rs.3,00,000/- and sent the lawyer notice. Now how I can defend.. Pls reply

1. File Police Complaint against the person for stealing "blank cheques" from your custody.

2. File private criminal matter against the person under the Benami Transaction Act, for dealing in money beyond his known source of funds (subject to certain parameters).

Giving blank cheque is always associated with such risks.

Engage some senior lawyer expert in the field and defend the case on merits.
