HUF Property

Sir,
I acquired an agricultural property from a karta of huf. Now the seller is coercing me to either give away a part of it for converting it into a residential site or else he would file a case through his sisters by way of them claming their rights to the HUF property. I fail to understand the ground for filing a case as all the HUF members have signed the sale agreement. Kindly guide me in this regard with reference to specific case laws.

Facts posted suggests that he just trying his luck to get back at least a part of the property by coercing you. You can just ignore him.

1. "IF" all the legal & residual claimants of the HUF, have signed on the registered Sale Deed, THEN the said sale deed is final for all legitimate purposes.
2. File a Criminal Complaint with the local police station against the mentioned seller persons, for cheating & extortion and intimidation. This should settle the matter once and for all.
