Stamp suty and registration

dear sirs,
I reside in lucknow (u.p) and i have a property in ansal golf city on sultanpur road.I would like to know the stamp duty and registration price which i have to pay and also its on my wife's name.do i get any rebate if registration is on my wifes name?

stamp duty is common and it differ and vary state to state. so you approach the local Sub Registrar office and get the details

Duty would be charged @7% over the value or circle rate which ever would be greater.Registration charges are 5 or 10 k just now i do not remember. 1% rebate of duty is provided to ladies.

It depends on the state stamp act.

7% for entire U.P,why Lucknow alone?

Place or location shall cause variation in valuation of the property not in rate of duty which would be one and one for all citizens of state or for transaction that takes place in the state.

so the stamp duty for the uttar pradesh is 7 % for men and 6% for women?
