Our Mr.Biswanath Roy Was a Senior Advocate who was in Practice Since 1956 that is 60 Years of Practice.He was in Kolkata.Many of his Juniors were Supreme Courts and High Courts Judges,He was Very Helpful to others and Even On 17/09/2015 he had Posted his Reply in the LCI Thread "Mutual Consent Divorce".He was an Very Active Member of Our LCI.

The sudden demise of Sr.Adv Shri Biswanath Roy is a shock to me as he was my friend philosopher and guide.Even at the age of 85 he was a very active person not only in the forum but even in the HIgh Court of Kolkotta.My deep felt condolences to the bereaved family.

It is really a matter of great shock that a lighthouse of law with a very long experience with right mix of the pre-independence justice system during the British Raj and post independence system.

Before his demise he was engrossed with his research work with the title, "MALADY OF JUSTICE" and he used to share with me through emails his observations those caused hindrances to render Justice to the people of India.

His research was aimed at the following critical issues:

1) To publish a law based book on his research.
2) To draw attention of the litigants, practicing lawyers and Judges who are interested to know why the justice is being delayed and the causes lying within.
3) Intended to be a sample survey by following methods of applied Psychology and tests related to.
4) Was to be solely relied upon case laws and real life instances.
5) Was of confidential nature.
6) Intended to be a survey on the basis of Schwertz analysis and outcome from the set of questionairs placed before the practicing advocates, jurists and litigants.
7) To deal with the possible remedial measures.
8) The period of his Research Work was intended to be "A COMPARATIVE STUDY WITH THE PERIOD 1950-60."

His research work seemed to remain half way.

It is a great shocking news for me to know about the sad demise of Sh. Bishwanath Roy who was a not only a torch-bearer, but also a great phillospher, guide having very vast experience in his professional knowledge, an expert lawyer with clear legal conceptual intellect, very active even at his age of 85 years and "one of the most senior advocates in India".
A great loss to the fertinity where he had been advising and guiding juniors on verious legal problems like an elder brother.
